This government-approved child protection training course is essential for educators, childcare workers, healthcare professionals, and community service workers who have a duty of care to children and young people.

 

It meets mandatory child protection training requirements under relevant state and territory legislation and protocols.

 

The course builds knowledge and awareness of child protection responsibilities, helping participants to:

  • Recognise signs of abuse and neglect, including emotional, physical, and sexual abuse, neglect, domestic and family violence, and child-on-child abuse.

  • Respond appropriately and support children and young people who may be at risk.

  • Apply child protection principles in the context of age, gender, disability, culture, and sexuality.

 

Participants will also gain an understanding of the legal and ethical frameworks that underpin child protection, including the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, relevant legislation, duty of care, and ethical responsibilities.

 

Upon completion of CHCPRT025 Identify and report children and young people at risk, participants will be equipped to identify, respond to, and report concerns, fulfilling their legal and ethical obligations to protect children and young people.

 

This child protection training is vital for safeguarding children and young people and contributing to their ongoing safety and well-being.Our course covers the new child safety provisions explicitly embedded in the National Quality Standard.
